Schedule Planning Advanced Skills follows on from the Foundation and Execution training for users of P6 Professional. In this one-day workshop, the delegates will look at a range of advanced skills widely used by the more experienced P6 planning practitioners. Working in teams and led by an experienced P6 project consultant, the delegates will explore a series of advanced topics which will aid further understanding of P6 and look at ways to become more efficient using the tool. They will learn how to store period performance, use Global Change and User Defined Fields, understand the use of reflections and Visualizer for schedule comparison, Timescaled Logic and Gantt reports, and discover how to use P6 for managing Risks, Issues and Thresholds. Delegates will also look at advanced scheduling options, ways of measuring percent complete, and be introduced to the concepts of an integrated master plan as well as updating and restoring baselines.
Throughout the workshop, the hands-on labs and exercises will enable delegates to reinforce their learning by creating and updating bespoke, industry-specific project plans according to realistic and relevant scenarios.
The focus of this workshop is on the development of the skills learned in the Foundation and Execution workshops to an advanced level in order to control projects with confidence and a greater depth of detail. Applying these P6 features and functions to your organisation’s project management processes will help to ensure optimal outcomes from capital and resource investments. This course uses Primavera P6 Professional Windows-based client/server application. It is appropriate for those using Primavera P6 Professional either as a stand-alone application or as part of P6 EPPM.
